The Soil Survey was carried out in 1984-89 by M. McLeod. DSIR Land Resources.

This map was prepared in 1992. It was digitised in 1999 and the data were stored in ArcGIS.

NZSC was determined in 2002.

Incidental error correction has been carried out as necessary.
